Information Processing

Receive It

Demonstrated by receiving information but doing little or nothing with it. Individuals operating at this level will often need information repeating or claim not to have received it.

Process It

Demonstrated by taking the time to proactively understand information received and clarifying it. Individuals who process information will often ask questions or seek to validate their assumptions.

Simplify It

Demonstrated by taking information received, often from multiple sources, and simplifying it for the purpose of conducting or documenting an activity or task. Individuals who are operating at a more senior level as a manager or individual contributor are expected to be able to simplify information received from multiple sources and act upon it.

Share It

Demonstrated by proactively sharing information which has been simplified for the purpose of helping others understand the information. Individuals who are operating at a more senior level as a manager or individual contributor are expected to be able to simplify information received from multiple sources and share it so that others can easily act upon it.
